MXNUSD Ratio

When purchasing MX pesos the value of the number evaluated is based on USD to MXN (1 USD to 18.56 PESOS) but when buying, the transaction takes place in the MXN to USD ratio (1 PESO to 0.56 USDs).

USDMXN -> $18.56

MXNUSD -> $0.56

Exchange rate companies and banks in what I've recently seen, seem to use the MXNUSD number for the transaction. In some cases they might display the USDMXN value.

So I had a relative pass away recently and needed some quick cash in mxn pesos. I went to a local exchange and received the price of the exchange. The exchange rate they gave me was 0.06280 USD or 1 USD = 15.92 MXN.

I last went to Wells Fargo around the time of this original post and got the same exchange rate MXNUSD instead of USDMXN. I finally signed up for an account and found that Wells Fargo will pay a better price than local exchanges and they will send you the money two ways: 1) ship to local branch for exchanges less than 3000 or 2) if you want it mailed directly to your home with signature it's 3,000 minimum exchange.

At this time, Wells Fargo offers 0.06171 MXNUSD or 1 USD = 16.20 MXN.

It's a no brainer. Wells Fargo all the way.

1 PESO (MXN) = 0.061489 U.S. DOLLAR (USD) at WF today or 16.2625.

Today I ordered some pesos with an estimated delivery date to a local branch of 08/04/26 at the cost of 202.

Today 1 PESO (MXN) = 0.062648 U.S. DOLLAR (USD) Where the global market is 0.059

The Peso is increasing increasing in value against the dollar.

Today 1 pesos now costs .059 cents compared to it being .057 just a month ago.

The inverse relationship means purchasing with the dollar is giving less pesos to the buyer.
